For the curious minds, you can view a larger selection of the pre-wedding portrait session of Mirabelle and Andi that I photographed just recently.
We went for a stroll along the Seine, from the Place de la Concorde, across Tuilerie garden to the city bridges and square Henry V.

Candido Camero

A friend just forwarded this video of Candido Camero .
Born in 1921 in a Havana barrio called El Cerro, Candido was initially a multi-instrumentalist. He later became the king of bongos and congas. After a six-year spell with the CMQ Radio Orchestra and a residency at the famed Cabaret Tropicana in Cuba, he moved to New York in 1946. He worked with Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Machito and his Afro-Cubans, and Mario Bauza.
I had the pleasure to see him performing Live in NYC at a few memorable weddings.
Now 87, he still rocks!

My wedding photographic style on location at The Harold Pratt House, New York City

I have been asked by a client to define my wedding photographic style in a few words- Difficult task and i might tend to use thousands words rather to condense 18 great years of passionate wedding photography on all 5 continents.I just picked 10 photos that I believe visually summarize what wedding photography should be about. I hope You will enjoy looking at those photos as much as I enjoyed taking them at the Wedding of Snezhana and Marco Londoner at "Council of Foreign Relations "aka The Harold Pratt House back in november.

And because the right to photograph in public space is established by the First Amendment, which states that, "Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble."
Mayor Bloomberg is passing new rules currently under consideration for Film Permits (Chapter 9, Title 43 of the City Rules of New York) will have an irrevocable impact on independent filmmakers and photographers and their ability to engage in creative work in New York.

The Angel Orensanz Foundation

The Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts was established in 1992 by a group of artists who were inspired by the work of sculptor Angel Orensanz.
In a short period of time it has affirmed itself as a strong anchor of the visual and performing arts in New York.
Well-established institutions such as the PS I Museum; The Goethe Institute, New York; the Italian Cultural Institute; New York University; Columbia University; Princeton University and the National Russian Museum of St. Petersburg, as well as independent artists from all over the world develop here educational and artistic projects.

The Angel Orensanz Foundation was once a synagogue located in the lower east side of New York City. This dramatic 1849 building is now open to anyone who wants to throw a party. Ironically, it looks a lot like an old church: thick Gothic-style windows, a deep-blue, incredibly dramatic rib-vaulted ceiling, and even an elaborate Gothic arch.
