Fauchon, Ducasse & French delicacies in NYC

Posted by Olivier Lalin

FAUCHON
Established in 1886 by Auguste Fauchon, this Parisian pastry-and-gourmet shop serves up wedding cakes authentic enough to thrill the most ardent Francophile - and even me! i do go accross town for the Eclair au chocolat. There are two dessert styles: custom-made cakes in a traditional seven-tier design and croquembouche available in six flavors including nougat (from $12 per serving).

my fav.being the store on hudson!
Visitors can see chocolate being made, but don't get so distracted - you forget to taste the delicious, moderately priced chocolates ( so they say !. The website has just been revisited by a very talented Designer Friend - Jason Snyder - and it looks very appetizing indeed.
